Do I need custom parameters?

Not always. The widget automatically captures page URL, page title, path, and referrer. Add custom parameters when the assistant needs extra context such as logged-in state, customer type, product area, trade account status, or platform name.

Can custom parameters change the assistant answer?

Yes, if your assistant instructions explain how to use them. For example, trade users can receive trade-account guidance while guests are guided towards registration. The assistant should still rely on approved knowledge for facts.

Can I pass order or account data?

Only pass safe labels unless a secure integration has been designed and approved. Do not pass private order details, secure account data, payment data, tokens, or session cookies through public widget context.

Will operators see the page the visitor is on?

Yes. Conversation Review shows captured page title, URL or path, latest page seen, and per-message page context where available.

What if the page URL is malformed?

The portal only opens normal http or https URLs. Unsafe or malformed values are displayed safely or ignored rather than opened as visitor-page links.

What should I test before launch?

Test a guest visitor, a logged-in visitor, and any trade or account-specific states. Check that Conversation Review shows the expected page/context and that the assistant wording follows your approved instructions.
