A product feed gives an AI assistant structured facts. The quality of those fields affects whether the assistant can answer confidently, decline safely, or route the shopper to a person.

Minimum viable fields

At minimum, each product should have a stable ID or SKU, product name, URL, description, status, and category.

Fields that improve advice

Attributes such as dimensions, material, colour, compatibility, use case, warranty, included items, excluded items, delivery lead time, and variant options can make product answers much more useful.

Fields to handle carefully

Supplier cost, internal notes, margins, merchandising scores, and private commercial data should be removed or clearly marked so they are not used in customer-visible answers.
